I've had the pleasure of knowing the good people of Nehemiah Center for Worship for about 2 years now. They are good, honest folk who are welcoming and kind.
The Pastor is a wonderful man whom I have the pleasure to call my friend. I have relied on him for council and support more times than I can relate in a 3 x 5 box.
If you are considering attending this church please call and speak with Pastor George and come and visit in Bangor, PA. Consider that this post is posted with my own name and email as well, and not some troll account created for reasons I will not be able to understand, but hey, this is the internet.Added May 29, 2017 by John Randall - ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
Pastor George and his wife Bonnie through their ministry at Nehemiah Center welcome all through their doors. He carries the Word in him. There is a local thrift store here in Arkansas run by a faithful Christian lady. She has a small worship center and does what she can to help God's children you the broken, the outcasts the ones you would avoid. Well Pastor made one visit and has supported her efforts all the way from PA. Now he doesn't have much but what he does he has freely given much like the widow that gave all she had. Nehemiah Center is a place that welcomes the ones other churches look down on or cast away as waste. It is a place that the hope, mercy, and grace of God is on display not just in words or fanfare but through works.

I have personally visited the Nehemiah Center and discovered some powerful Bible-based preaching and a loving Pastor who cares sincerely about people. I don't always agree with what Pastor George says, but his faith and good intention and Bible knowledge cannot be disputed. He and Miss Bonnie are great hosts and are good and faithful servants of Jesus!

You will be hard pressed to find a more sincere, honest, and welcoming congregation. As a Roman Catholic, I was welcomed to attend the teaching and services at any time. I was truly impressed by the fact this was a Church of real faith and spiritual guidance.

I love Nehemiah Center. I love Pastor George Cook and his wife Bonnie. They both are great spiritual leaders. My first time at Nehemiah Center was for a wonderful Passover dinner. I got to help in the kitchen chopping vegetables. It was a great experience. So many members helping out. When everything was done more people came as we all experienced such love and a great dinner. Every part of the dinner had a specific meaning. Pastor George explained it. I learned so much from him that night.
PG and Bonnie opened their heart and home to me for a couple of days, it was awesome, really. Church service the following day was also so great, and I went back again a few years later.
I hardly missed service even though I missed some due to illness. Having it online was also great!! I lived 5 to 6 hours away.
The whole church found out that I had a folding chair for my computer time. They all pitched in and bought me (To my delightful surprise) a beautiful real computer chair. That was 9 years ago, and it still is in fine shape. :)
This church and the people in it has become family and I love everyone of the members, PG and Bonnie.
OH! and last September they came here where I live and took me out to Dinner!! :)
If anyone knows PG and Bonnie, they know they are loved and God's presence is clearly in that church and is evident there is so much love, it is overwhelming.Added March 18, 2017 by Alice L
